"When Aunt Nora asked her to be deputy librarian, Libby took her job very seriously!" Libby is determined to rid the library of all outlaws! Juice-spillers, binding-biters, you name it-no one is a match for Libby and her lasso. As soon as the children are distracted by story time, Slap!, up go the Wanted posters! Soon enough, the kids and their destructive habits are banished, and silence falls upon the library. Just when things are under control, Libby's given an impossible assignment that spins her head: help one of these no-good book bandits. Hopping horny toads! How can she let another book be ruined? After she finds the perfect story for this little reader, she realizes that libraries are for books-and people too. Now, it's time to rustle up some readers! Follow Libby as she learns to take on responsibility and help others, cowgirl-style. Texas author Carolyn Leiloglou rounds up the wonders of the library in this delightful story, and Sarah Pogue's illustrations fill it with Texas charm.
