beats them all in his solo spot, represented by five tracks appended to the dozen by the group. Indeed, although there's no shortage of
recordings from the early '60s onward, his work as presented here is some of the best that one can find, showing him in excellent form vocally and instrumentally, and it's easy to see why audiences on this tour often didn't want him to end his set. ~ Bruce Eder
