The story begins in an alternate world called Alyasia, which is governed and protected by six powerful individuals known as the Guardians. The centuries of peaceful co-existence came to an abrupt end when one of the guardians named Lord Syth unleashed an evil force known as the Achermar that had been sealed away by the ancients for centuries, this lead to the fall of the guardians.
The ancients are forced to use the primal tomes known as the books of mystery in sealing Lord Syth who had now absorbed the essence of the Achermar and books were meant to be hidden away for all time, but fate had something else planned. Several centuries later one of the books of mystery will find its way into the possession of the Bates household located in the city of New Jersey, the youngest of Bates' children- Julian through a stroke of fate manages to unlock the book of mystery.
This action triggers a spell resulting in Julian and his siblings being unexpectedly transported to the Isles of Alyasia, the Bates' children are stranded in an unknown world, and in order to return home, they have to find the two remaining books of mystery while trying to survive and prevent the return of the evil sorcerer-Lord Syth.
