Love is a Garden is a product of my multicultural children's literature class. I learned so much about inclusivity and the need for children to see themselves in books. I noticed that many children felt seen and heard, but need the words, means, and affirmations that inspire them to be authentic and true to who they are. Children need support. Affirmations and reminders of how special our kids are to us are more important than anything. That's why this book exists, to inspire and make it

known that YOU are amazing no matter what. Positive affirmations work for anyone of all ages, but children are still growing and learning a lot more than adults are, so this is why they're so crucial. Children can learn negative self talk easily, but with affirmations and reminders of their worth, they may learn better, more positive coping skills that will prevent later on mental health issues.
