Stage Play-The Revolutionary Saga of Durga Bhabhi
Not only men but women have also been involved in fighting the British by putting their lives on the palm of their hands for the independence of India. Women and heroes also did not lag behind in sacrificing themselves for the independence of India. Indian history has been witness to the bravery of many brave women including Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi, Ahilya Bai etc. One of these women is Durgavati Devi. The same Durgavati Devi whom history knows as 'Durga Bhabhi'. Durga Bhabhi may not have been hanged like Bhagat Singh Sukhdev, Rajguru, Ashfaqullah or Bismil, but in the freedom struggle, she worked shoulder to shoulder with the revolutionaries and became a part of their aggressive plan. Durga Bhabhi used to fire pistols, make bombs, and also send the sons of the country who were going to take on the British on the path of victory by donating blood and sandalwood.
