Size: Paperback

The author, James Lee Rethi, has written a personal memoir superimposed on descriptions of day-to-day life in a Texas prison.
He does a lot of soul-searching and seeking of spirituality to survive a penitentiary environment totally new and foreign to him. He does not hold back when it comes to describing the life of a family man and a professional technical writer interrupted by four-and-a-half years in Texas prisons because of driving while high. And he spares no details about his former life and drug addiction, and the many times his life was endangered.
Come along with Rethi and learn about his incarceration and his many earlier misadventures that he calls the Memories of Broken Dreams.
About the Author
James Lee Rethi is a technical writer and information developer whose career was interrupted by four-and-a-half years in a Texas prison for driving under the influence of drugs. Follow him into the dark world of the Texas penitentiary, where rain comes through the roof, there's no heat or air conditioning, and cockroaches thrive in living areas. James's journey into the dark world of Texas incarceration came amidst a thirty-year professional career. His admonition now is that if you drink or get high and drive, not only are you a threat to yourself and others, prison could happen to you as well.
James lives in Austin, Texas, where he works in content management for a major high-tech company. He holds a master's degree in information science. He enjoys hiking, swimming, reading, movies, and traveling.
