Second book in the Chronicles of Awnue - Men of the Amara Clan Series.
It is the darkest time of the morning, just before dawn.
On his way back from a difficult mission, he happens upon her. She is unconscious but alive.
Waking in a strange place remembering only her first name, she is terrified.
The Commander of the men calling themselves, the Amara Clan, Guardians of the Northern Territories, holds a clan meeting. All the men are in attendance, the woman, as well. He has the men introduce themselves, then orders her to choose one of them, on his Lord's decree.
Not knowing who she is or where she is from, she is left with no other choice. Making her decision, she chooses.
Harbinger
Harbinger is Crow's advisor. He has been with Crow and the Amara Clan for the last seventeen years; almost as long as Crow. He is Crow's best student and a master of blades. He is quick to anger and strong-willed. He will not listen to reason at times and will lash out when provoked. His skill with blades makes him nearly undefeated with most opponents. However, there is something he has lost that is so important to him, that it has crushed him into the man he is now.
Displeased with Kierra's decision in choosing him, this ill-tempered man does everything in his power to keep his distance from her. He does not believe she should be with the clan and should be sent away immediately.
Can Kierra ever win his approval? And why is Harbinger so against her being with the clan?
