Idaira es una mujer ambiciosa, fuerte y de apariencia superficial con un pasado marcado por la pobreza. Hace diez años comenzó una nueva vida lejos de su familia y amigos y durante ese tiempo ha luchado mucho por conseguir un sueño que cree haber alcanzado. Airam es un alma libre, aventurero, carismático y sencillo; un enamorado del surf. Vive en Fuerteventura y tiene clara una cosa: no renunciaría jamás a su estilo de vida.
Ambos fueron amigos íntimos en la infancia, pero sus caminos se separaron. Hoy el destino los vuelve a unir. Dicen que las segundas oportunidades nunca funcionan, pero también que siempre hay una excepción que confirma la regla. ¿Serán ellos la excepción o la regla?  ¿Podrá Idaira encontrar el camino de regreso? Y, lo más importante, ¿quiere hacerlo?

Idaira is an ambitious, strong, yet an externally shallow-looking woman with a past marked by poverty. Ten years ago, she started a new life away from her family and friends and during that time she has fought hard for a dream that she believes she has now achieved.
Airam is a free spirit, adventurous, charismatic, modest, and in love with surfing. He lives in Fuerteventura and has one thing clear: he will never give up his lifestyle.
Both were close friends when they were kids, but their paths parted ways. Today fate brings them together again. They say that second chances never work out, but also that there is always an exception to the rule. Will they be the exception or the rule? Will Idaira be able to find her way back? And, most importantly, does she want to?
