Thirty-three selected poems written/devised between March 2018 and July 2019 by a twenty-seven year-old queer American boy currently living in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. This publication marks his first official public release of poetry, with "Alaskan Ice: A Creative Collective Vol. I" being his first D.I.Y. publication which came out in December 2017 and consisted of original poems, drawings, and paintings but only 25 copies were dispersed among the local Hamilton community. The topic of each poem ranges from philosophy, mental health, homosexuality, drugs and substance abuse, spirituality, generalized life questions, and daily observances. The author was formally trained in the discipline of biomedical engineering from the University of Akron and is currently working towards a PhD in chemical engineering at McMaster University. Colvet exemplifies an undying passion for living life and continuously learning through the process, whether that entices traditional/formal schooling, emotional development, social improvement, or artistic expression. Please follow Colvet for more of his works on engineering, poetry, philosophy, and visual arts if interested. Thank you very much for your support.
