So here we are, at the point of adulthood, expecting to be great. It's like, as soon as we crossed that esteemed age, life stepped in and said, "Hey, you're an adult now, go live," but we have no clue what that means. So we wake up each day and do our best to figure it out.We observe the world around us. We try to understand what's expected, how to accomplish things, what paths to take and how to play the cards we are dealt. When good moments come, we celebrate, and when bad moments happen, we detach. Life is a journey full of ups and downs so how do we deal with that? I've learned that you have to be intentional. You have to make aconscious decision to live your life, rather than just running the clock, getting through each day. It's like a game. Already laid out before you arepaths full of advances and obstacles. You have a certain amount of resources, some you choose and some you are given, and you must walk your own path using what you have, being who you are.Life is lived using part strategy (wisdom) and a part roll of the dice (destiny, things we cannot control). You can't be too arrogant because life is to be enjoyed, nor get too frustrated because there are still cards left in the deck. No matter how long it takes, no matter how many obstacles you face, no matter how many other players are in the game, you focus on your journey, with a goal to win.Life has no manual. There is no secret key and no special code. Not everything works for everyone. No two paths are the same. What makes it fulfilling is the ability to take all the knowledge, experience, trials, triumphs, everything that happened to you, all of your dreams and walk your path, run your race, enjoying your life along the way!
