It is the artist's legacy objective to build this house in the small, historic mining town, certified as the Gateway to Death Valley, called Beatty. Given the author's decades of experience in Death Valley as a professional landscape photographer, his very long Chapter Six dramatically profiling the 1960s Charles Manson hippie cult in Death Valley Country is something whereby Dr. Blahnik has been duly authorized to make the claim with confidence: "No one can tell this story of Charles Manson in Death Valley in the manner that I have." Furthermore, it is decidedly engaging and indeed surprising to observe the extent to which the history of some members of the cult serves as a foil to the author's character. Imagine that.
