Statistics show that by the time we get home, we only remember about 50% of the messages we heard, after one day only 25% and after a week maybe, 10% or even less. Additionally, many Christians struggle to find the time to read the Bible during the week. Which means, they have no substance to keep them fueled throughout the days after hearing the sermon. Taking sermon notes is intentional, and indicates that you are serious about growing in faith, knowledge, and understanding of who God is. It helps us to remember what we have learned and we can reflect on it back and forth throughout the week and maintain some kind of nourishment for the soul.
