The book is devoted to the pagan and folklore mythology of the Belarusians. Pagan tales are peculiar to many Slavic tribes, while the folklore legends mentioned in this book are typical only for the regions of Belarus. Pagan mythology was formed several centuries before Christ. Folklore mythology - after Christianity took root. It emerged on the ruins of pagan myths and acquired national identity. The publication is an encyclopaedia, in which popular characters of ancient legends and legends are systematised, their complex relationships are structured, their analogues in the mythology of other peoples are indicated. Wishing to recreate as accurately as possible the idea of the mythology of the ancient Belarusians, the author relied on the works of scientists, epic epic, ethnographic records, texts of sources of the Vedic tradition. The book is intended for a wide range of readers.
