Neurosurgery Lecture Notes is written with the aim to be a broad perspective containing all the important facts contained in exam questions in a clear, concise and friendly manner. The authors have a well established history of teaching and Lal Gunasekera has trained several generations of young aspiring surgeons. Adriaan Liebenberg has penned two other successful textbooks in neurosurgery (Neurosurgery for Basic Surgical Trainees, Hippocrates Books and Neurosurgery Explained, Vesuvius Books). Together with help from Andreas Demetriades they have created a book that has application not just in the class room but also in clinical attachments. The chapters on imaging, theatre and ICU are designed to be detailed to a level not seen in books this size to enable a clinical attachment to be of more value. There are 134 high quality line drawings and scans to support the text to give a work of remarkable quality and simplicity.
