No 1 Said A Word
Bear with me! I am not an expert on life, but I have concluded that if you keep waking up every morning, life will challenge you physically and emotionally. It is like going to a never-ending grad school and taking a prerequisite psych course called, "What to do with all the Bookmarks and Keepsakes of life."
My biography emphasizes the first half of my life where the inability to develop healthy relationships with myself, my family, and my community, was due to overwhelming circumstances. The diverse levels of dysfunctional behaviors ranged from loud verbal abuse, physical abuse, or exposure to underage environments. I was trafficked before it was deemed human trafficking in 2000, Trafficking Victims Protection Act (TVPA), and was a victim of child abuse long before the enforcement act in 1974, Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act (CAPTA).
Before those laws people just minded their own business, or "No 1 Said A Word."
Those experiences left me with mental scars to navigate through life carrying all the Bookmarks and Keepsakes. Some of my Bookmarks are reminders that I did survive when others would have cashed their life in for a pine box. My Keepsakes are attached at my hip and used as leverage to walk into all that God has planned for me and a daily reminder that my future and my latter days are blessed beyond measures. My goal is to live according to what my relationship is with God and not what people remember of my past behaviors or where people think I should be.
I invite readers as they read my biography to confront and embrace their own life experiences and strive for personal growth and healing.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
