Ocean of Feelings brings a fun way of practicing calming strategies with ocean creatures and opening the door for discussions about BIG feelings for school staff and parents. Dive in as each ocean creature experiences a different emotion and discusses how they can handle that emotion. This book shows children that they are not alone in feeling sad, mad, confused, scared, etc. At the end of the book, you will find additional calming strategy examples and will be able to help children create their own toolbox of ways to calm themselves. This book was created by a mom and son duo. Rachel Richards drew hand drew the images while 8 year old Lafayette colored all the images. Rachel Richards has been an educator for 6 years with experience in special education and behavior/social emotional learning specifically.
