This book introduces the concept of philosophy or "fill a sea" as Oly puts it. The movement to help children understand philosophy began in the 1970s and was introduced by Matthew Lipman (1922-2010). According to the Institutes for the Advancement of Philosophy for Children, "philosophy helps us learn to recognize the ethical problems and possibilities in our experience, to think them through carefully, to make sound ethical judgements and to take appropriate action." We here at Deep Sea Media intend for "Please Let me Talk!" to be the first in a long series of stories during which Oly and Opi, and their reader friends like YOU, dive deep into the most important questions that can be asked.
