Operation Amur is a wonderful retro novel of adventure, action, romance, and suspense that takes place after World War II. Colonel Alex Ross, the protagonist of the story, will have the most dangerous assignment of his life. Along with a mysterious character known as Dr. John Robertson and the cooperation of a beautiful Asian woman named Kathy Rhee, he must fight against a pro-communist terrorist group that seeks to reunify the two Koreas into one through a coup d'état, thus sowing fear and terror to the point of destabilizing the country and sending the president of South Korea into exile; in this way, Ross and his team will face this subversive group that will take them to the hostile territory of North Korea and the Soviet Union to complete their mission. Thus, in the company of a select group of war veterans, our protagonist must deal with countless problems and villains to accomplish his objective, which will become more complicated as the plot develops.
