The vision of piercing black eyes in a swarthy, bearded face frightens Liz Stewart, rising young opera star as she lies dying on stage in the last act of Puccinc’s “Manon Lescaut”. She is overcome by a feeling of approaching death and calls a name she doesn’t know. Who is this man and why has he answered her mental cry for help? The answer takes Liz from her glamorous international opera world of the present through hypnosis to a wagon train on the Oregon Trail in the 1840’s. When she comes face to face with the black eyes in the person of movie producer, Bill Whitfield, they feel an immediate connection and begin an exciting and passionate relationship. But as they grow closer, they realize two strangers are trying to take over their lives with disastrous results.
