While travelling the countryside, you stop in the small town of
Riverbend
. The people seem worn down and scared. No one wants to talk to you when you ask for directions to an inn. An old woman frowns at you but points down the street.
"Around the corner is the marketplace. Can't miss the inn, it's the largest building in town."
You start to thank her but she's already hurrying down the street away from you.
The inn is as quiet and depressing as the rest of the town. The innkeeper eyes you warily but takes your coin in exchange for a room and a meal. You ask him what's going on.
"It's the
Dark Woods
,"
he says.
"Something moved in there recently, got the rest of the beasties all riled up. People get attacked in the fields. A few gone missing."
He gives you a good look, his eyes linger on your sword.
"Be a good reward for someone who might venture forth and deal with those who're what causing trouble."
Collect treasure, defeat monsters, and explore a variety of locations in this sequel to the original
Paper Dungeon Mazes
. Venture into weird woods, creepy caves, and devious dungeons. Avoid traps, find keys, collect loot. Survive long enough to find the exit to the next adventure or perish in the attempt!
All you need is this book, two 6 sided dice, and a pencil. This book is fun for adventurers of all ages playing either solo (by themselves) or sharing the quest together with family and friends.
"Every time I play this I always end up with a great emergent story about my character and his adventures. I highly recommend it!"
