A Method Based in Solfa
PianoForte
is a creative method based on the principles of Kodály, Orff & Gordon who believed that '
sound should come before symbol
'.
The PianoForte Method
combines these methods with traditional high quality piano teaching to provide students with a creative, progressive method that develops aural skills through Moveable Solfa.
Level 3
progresses student's musical and technical abilities with more complex repertoire. This level introduces the concept of playing in two voice harmony - or 'hands together'. It follows on from Levels 1 and 2, developing aural and musicianship skills.
What's special about the PianoForte Method?

Systematic progression for Beginners - Early Intermediate (Grade 1)
Creative approach to reading using Moveable Solfa and Landmark Notes
Technique that develops a 'Singing Tone'
Lots of supplemental material to support every concept
Healthy fingering patterns to develop correct arm alignment
