Poverty is a global phenomenon. The situation is depressing even after several measures been initiated and implemented by governments. It is the author's conviction that leadership has a great and critical role in elimination of poverty. The theme of the book is developed linking poverty and leadership. The conclusion derives strength and support from the statements of eminent men like Robert McNamara, former President of World Bank, Nani Palkivala, eminent jurist and many others. The inadequacy of strong, competent and benevolent leadership accelerates poverty by denying and depriving the benefits of economic growth to the poor. Corruption, power mis-management and break down of law and order are evidences of weak leadership at various levels. Deeply concerned about the pitiable condition of the poor and the lethargy of leadership at many levels of government and outside, the author in all humility, outlines a program of leadership development and social security for the poor. The aim of the book is to plead before leaders, in all humility, to realize their role and to initiate positive and dynamic action for rapid economic growth in areas particularly relevant and beneficial to the poor. The book is presented in two parts. Part 1 was already published. This second part deals with the concepts like power management, development leadership and character development in detail. The author sincerely hopes that thousands of promising men in the country could be chosen for leadership training to serve a noble cause and for lasting results. The book may serve as an introduction to leadership development and an outline of an approach to the solution of the problem. Beyond this the author does not expect anything great to happen until the leaders assimilate the concepts and contents of the various chapters and act earnestly. If the target is well chosen, and the arrow fixed on the bow, the archer, assuming he is competent, releasing it will hit the target without fail. So for the best results the leader should be fully equipped, committed and trained. Such leadership alone can eliminate poverty.
