Prayers of my Mother
is divided into five parts. Part One, “Blessed Trinity,” is intended to encourage the reader to become in tune with his or her own calling or spiritual gift(s) through meditation. It stresses patience and dependence on God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit throughout all circumstances. Part Two, “Identifiable Characteristics,” focuses on how others see us. Part Three discusses “Life’s Relationships,” and includes our BFFs (best friends forever and boyfriends forever), and the effects these relationships have on us. Part Four, “Personal Challenges,” highlights how we see ourselves and how we cope with those images. Part Five, “Spiritual Challenges,” depicts struggles and weaknesses in life as we prepare for the end of times.
Many of the daily devotionals shared within the pages of Prayers of my Mother unveiled Carolyn's real-life anecdotes which were deeply hidden in her past and most times forgotten. The more she shared her journey with others, the more anecdotes she recalled. She has shared her trials and tribulations to encourage, console and heal, and hopefully bring peace and reconciliation to many. It is her utmost desire that Prayers of my Mother inspires many to seek a relationship with God, with the understanding that most times it is because of our trials and tribulations that we can hear Him, but we must learn
