Remembering the Wilderness Road tells the story of the men and women who developed the first year-round residential wilderness therapy program at Camp Woodland Springs in Texas. The Wilderness Road Therapeutic Camping Model began in the early 1940's as an experimental summer program and grew into a life-changing movement that swept across the Eastern United States in the 1970's and led to launching camps internationally by the dawn of the new millennium.
