Mind reader Kalli Ballas decides to go for a much-needed girls' weekend to visit her new fortune teller friend, Sunny Meadows, never imagining she's headed on a road trip to ruin...
The remodel turning their joined apartments into one big house is done and living with Detective Nik Stevens is cruising along like a Sunday morning drive, until he asks Kalli to marry him. Nik wants children, but Kalli has just come to terms with cohabitation and coparenting multiple fur babies. She stalls, asking for a weekend away to see what married with children looks like, but promises she will have an answer for him when she gets back.
Sunny reads Kalli's future to help give her the clarity she's looking for, but the only thing she foretells is danger. Her prediction comes true when an outsider winds up murdered during the Summer Solstice Festival and Kalli is the number one suspect.
