Sliding my arm across the back of her chair, I tilt my head down slightly, looking directly into her eyes. "Dana, will you have lunch with me Saturday?"
Holding my stare, she makes me wait until sweat starts to form on my brow. I don't remember the last time I was nervous around a woman since my teenage years. That had more to do with sneaking out to go on a date and lying to my parents about it than nerves over what the girl was thinking. Twenty minutes with this woman and I'm feeling things I've never felt before. The crazy part is, I like it.
