Fiction. After being prescribed antidepressants by her doctor, Jade Dawson drags through her days living a life scoped by her depression. While she isn't one to believe in treatment, her sarcastic and stubborn attitude leads her to find friends who remind her she isn't the only one who is hopeless. As she begins to experience her downfall, the irrationality of her constant thinking causes her to start seeing the world in a newly, rational way; seeing life for everything that it is, while her experiences mirror the hardships of what it's like to be a depressed and anxious teen having to believe, despite the pain, that the world and time are still on her side.
