يا رضا، أجمل ما في الكتابة أنّك لن تقاطعني. أعلم أنّك قد تشيح بوجهك عنّي إذا تكلّمت معك أو تسكتني، أو ترمي هدايانا القديمة ورسائلنا ثمّ تكذب بأنّك لم تفعل. لكن هذه المرّة لن تتمكّن من رمي ذاكرتي، لأنّني أريد لذاكرتي أن تشبه كلماتي. حتّى لو توقّفتَ عن القراءة فجأة، أو أغلقت صفحات دفتري، أو خربشت على الأسطر، فلن تقاطعني! لأنّ كلماتي هذه سوف تُكتب. لذا أنصحك بأن تتّخذ قرارك وتسمعني. وتسمع روايتي التي أشعر الآن بأنّني أريد أن أتعلّم كتابتها. سوف أبوح بأمور لم أكن أعرفها سابقًا... وأنت يا رضا؟ هل ستسمعني؟ Oh, Rida, the most beautiful thing about writing is that you cannot interrupt me.
