Many Bible students are aware that Jesus Christ referenced the event of an important Queen who traveled a great distance to hear the wisdom of King Solomon (Matthew 12:42). Just prior to being stoned to death, the faith-filled and courageous young man, Stephen, included Solomon in his inspired reminder of Hebrew history when he stated, "But Solomon built him an house" (Acts 7:47). The question concerning the typology of the temple is not left unanswered. What did the temple foreshadow? As Jesus added to his comment about the wisdom of Solomon, saying, "behold, a greater than Solomon is here" (Luke 11:31). What is the temple of God today?
Who is spiritual Israel today? None should doubt that our morally corrupt society is in dire need of the lessons given in the Scriptures, in particular the principles revealed as a result of the discussion of this King who built a house for God.
