This story candidly shares the journey of the author's marriage, her courageous decision to end it, the unforeseen aftermath, and her extraordinary recovery into a content and fulfilled life. It provides powerful insight into the invaluable lessons she learned along the way about guilt, vulnerability, forgiveness, mental health, and relationship health, as well as the tremendous spiritual and emotional growth she experienced as a result. This book sheds light on divorce in the church but more importantly, is a story of restoration that invites its readers into personal reflection and self-examination so they, too, can enjoy the peace they so richly deserve.
Monica Moore is a pastor, artist, chaplain, and therapist whose career in culturally diverse faith-based, mental health, community, and hospital settings spans decades. Her passion and enthusiasm for serving others has been demonstrated through her counseling work, artistic expression, and dedication to the church. Moore believes in the influential mediums of love and service, and uses them to provide spiritual and emotional support to everyone she encounters, especially those in marginalized and underserved communities. She holds a Master of Divinity degree from the Interdenominational Theological Center and a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco. Moore resides in the San Francisco Bay Area and is a devoted mother to two children.
