Explore outer space through interactive augmented reality experiences!Humans first placed a space station in orbit around Earth in 1971. Construction of the International Space Station (ISS) began in 1998, and astronauts from different countries have been living there since 2000. What is the station's mission? The ISS is a high-tech science lab that generates its own power and can support a full crew of six people. Astronauts conduct experiments, maintain the station, and exercise for hours a day to stay fit in the weightless environment. They provide scientists with information about living in space long-term that NASA and other space agencies can use to plan trips to Mars and other destinations. Take a journey to humankind's home in space!
