Officer Asako, part of a special investigations unit, has the unique ability to react to the residual thoughts of murder victims, replicating their wounds on his own body. Together with his partner, the reserved Detective Kuroiwa, he works hard to solve the toughest of cases.
One such case, the murder of Detective Kuroiwa’s ex-wife, has Officer Asako reliving her life in his dreams. And since it appears the only way to pull Asako out of such a dream is to be touched, Kuroiwa orders him to move in temporarily so he can always be close at hand. But sharing the same space—and the same bed—has Kuroiwa thinking less about his failed marriage and more about his awkward, shy subordinate.
