This is me trying new things and new people and being open to new experiences with the mindset that I've healed from my past. Thinking that moving forward would place me somewhere differently with different perspectives only to end up in the same whirlwind that I was trying to get out of. It all felt new. It felt different. Yet, it was me. I was different. The way that I was able to handle my explorations and keep moving on to the next one, is what made me feel as if I was going through new things, but I was not. This is being a new me in the same situations, maybe more daring details, yet being more in tuned with myself, refusing to be left in agony and refusing to be left without. I wanted that feeling of having the last word. I wanted to enjoy the moment before it was over. I wanted to leave with no regrets. I wanted to be the one to walk away with a smile on my face and happiness in my heart. Did I get hurt along the way? Sure did. However, this time felt different. I was not stuck in a numb. I rode the waves and allowed them to bring me back to shore. Now, I am ready to go back at it again.
