A load rating of 330 pounds on a frame that weighs about 8.2 pounds is the trade this aluminum platform ladder makes, and it is the reason it gets carried to the job rather than left in a corner. High-strength aluminum construction handles the weight without the mass of steel, so one hand moves it and both hands are free once it is set. What separates a platform ladder from a plain step ladder is the surface underfoot. This one gives a 29.5 by 12 inch working area at a platform height of 19.5 inches off the ground, wide enough to stand with both feet planted and shift position without stepping down, which is what makes longer overhead work manageable. Open dimensions run 43.5 by 16 by 19.5 inches. Safety comes from two mechanisms working together. Locking legs hold the open position so the frame cannot creep or fold underfoot, and skid-resistant feet grip the floor to prevent slipping on tile, concrete, or a smooth sealed surface. The unit is certificated to CE and the European safety standard EN131. Folded, it collapses to 15.5 by 6.5 by 31 inches, a profile thin enough to slide behind a door or into the gap beside a cabinet rather than needing dedicated storage. That combination suits washing vehicles, cleaning windows, decorating, general maintenance work, and DIY around any home.
