Assembly is the part people dread, and this 6-ft flocked tree removes most of it. A bolt comes pre-installed in the stand, so the trunk pole meets a hole that is already aligned instead of the usual hunt for a thread that will not catch, and the hinged branches drop open by themselves as each of the three sections is pushed down. Two pairs of gloves are packed in the carton, enough for two people to fluff at once and for a second pass next year. At 13 lb the whole tree is light enough to carry assembled from one room to another, which is unusual at this height. Once open it spreads 3.5 ft across, a narrow footprint that keeps a walkway clear, and 594 branch tips carry the snow flocking. Those branches droop naturally rather than sitting level, mimicking foliage weighed down by real snow, and 250 pre-strung LED lights run through them so the tree works as a centerpiece lit at night and as a white-and-green silhouette in daylight. The adaptor is UL certified. Two plastics do two jobs in the foliage: PE leaves are shaped to resist deformation and hold their form after being compressed in a box for eleven months, while PVC leaves supply the vivid color and the long service life. The metal stand is 16 in across and folds flat, so the largest rigid part of the tree collapses for storage rather than taking up a shelf on its own. Packed back into three hinged sections, the tree returns to its carton without a fight at the end of the season.
