Setup is where this 7.5-ft pre-lit artificial Christmas tree earns its keep: four hinged sections stack together and the branches swing open on their own as each tier seats, so the tree goes from carton to standing without an evening spent bending limbs one at a time. Once open it measures 3.3 ft across and carries 1096 full-bodied branch tips, dense enough that the center pole disappears behind foliage instead of showing through. The needles are not a single repeated shape either, as four leaf types in different colors and textures are mixed along the branches, and 76 clusters of red berries, pine cones and artificial leaves are worked in throughout, so the tree already looks dressed before the first ornament is hung. Lighting is pre-strung, 460 warm white LED bulbs, and eight modes are selectable, combination, in wave, sequential, slo glo, chasing or flash, slow fade, twinkle or flash, and steady on, which means the tree can hold a still glow or run an animated pattern from the same string. Underneath, a crossed metal base spans 20 in and spreads the load across four arms so the tree does not rock when brushed against, and anti-slip footpads on the leg ends stop the metal from scraping flooring. The foliage is premium PVC that is flame-retardant, odorless and long-lasting, so nothing has to air out before the tree is decorated. Storage is planned for as well, since the base folds flat and the four sections nest into a short stack, and at 24.5 lb the whole assembly is a one-person carry.
