A massive lake is home to several villages along the coastline. The villages benefit from fishing the waters and by logging the rare Molderian Tree from the islands that dot the lake. The wood from the Molderian Trees creates fabulous pieces of furniture and decor that the regional nobility desire. But logging the wood has its own challenges. The islands are inhabited by native primates that are very protective of their homes. They do not like interlopers and push them out. The primates have other secrets though, gold. Will the adventurers brave the waters and island to acquire the gold they seek? This double feature module consists of two stories that develop from the same beginning. Through skill checks during an interactive introduction, the story will flow into one of the two stories. Or the judge can choose which story to tell. Rough Waters begins on the lake as the adventurers are traveling to one of the islands on a logging expedition. With loggers, guards, and some gold seeking adventurers along, a storm picks up. Can the adventurers survive the storm, or will they find the secrets held below the surface? The Cave in the Tree begins on the lake as well. Once they make it to the island, the adventurers begin exploring the island in a "sandbox light" adventure. Eventually the adventurers find themselves entering a cave built into a tree. Within a dungeon of aggressive native primates; what else is hidden in this interesting cave? Rough Waters and The Cave in the Tree are two zero level funnels originating from the same village. These adventures are compatible with the Dungeon Crawl Classics Role Playing Game.
