After arriving at Bone Shakers to participate in a newbie Dungeons and Dragons session, Faust and three others find themselves tossed unceremoniously into a portal. In this new world, where they know nothing, they are forced to contend with the forces of nature. Naturally, forces of nature include dog-sized Honey Badgers, an enigmatic giant teddy bear, and a necromancer who lives in a suspiciously shaped tower. As they adventure through the world, they discover a few facts of life. Bigotry is not only found on Earth, Minotaurs can have crushes on humans, and that sometimes love can soothe even the most savage of beasts.
