Covers the TEKS Standards for 2016-2017!
This book is focused on developing student's writing skills. It includes revising and editing exercises that require students to apply skills, as well as quizzes that focus on the language and writing skills that Texas students are expected to have.
It has been created to match the skills listed in the TEKS standards, and will also prepare students for the revising and editing tasks on the STAAR Writing test taken in grade 4.
Section 1: Revising and Editing Quizzes

Preparing for the STAAR Writing Tests
Texas students take a STAAR Writing test in grade 4. The test includes writing compositions and about 30 revising and editing questions. The revising and editing questions make up about 75 percent of the total score.
This quiz book will prepare students for the revising and editing sections of the STAAR tests. Students will develop the writing skills they need to perform well on the test, become familiar with the question types on the test, and gain experience completing revising and editing tasks. Students will then be ready for the STAAR Writing test.
