Timmy lives deep in the woods with his parents, Papa Jack and Mama Mable, and his dog, Ace. He has never been to the faraway town and wonders what it is like. But being from a poor family they have no means to send him there.
Knowing that her son is desperate to see the bright lights, his mother makes a deal with Timmy; if he can improve his math grade she will find a way to get him to town.
Four weeks later and after studying for the whole month, Timmy gets an A in his report card for math and Mama Mable is as good as her word. She contacts Sammy the Stork and he flies to town with Timmy and Ace on his back.
The bright lights, exciting shops and sweet smells are amazing for Timmy and Ace and they see so much in a short time. But there is also danger in the town, in the form of the Marshmallow men, three meanies who like to beat people up and steal from them. And it's not long before Timmy and Ace encounter them, just as all the shops are closing up.
Will anyone come to their rescue as the Marshmallow Men close in? Or will Timmy and Ace's day in town end in disaster?
