The Anarii Chronicles IX - The Mission
- Part 1 begins on the southern trail in the middle Coumar Mountains where the young Vondarii Hunters Tren and Madeh accompany the Mirii search party from Zerren's Gate Hold sent to track down Elder Morant's missing daughter Rejat and her lover Hunter Sarduk'h, but Tren has a vision of Rejat with Morgana on the Sumarkh Plateau and the Lii telling him he has to return to his homeland, his blurted words to the Mirii disrupting their search, and destroying Madeh's secret hope. Meanwhile at the Mirii hold, Elders Morant, E'sar, and other council elders are given a charge from the Meld to send an unusual party of Travelaars to the plateau to join the Vondarii clans for their sacred gather on the summer solstice.
