The Annals of Bone Girl, Volume Two continues the sometimes plebian, but often times mind-boggling, saga of Bone Girl as she trudges through her second year at My Medical School. As her entire class is abandoned in favor of a new curriculum, and the shiny new students that go with that, Bone Girl is forced to accept that the very medical school to which she had entrusted her learning will instead emerge as the greatest obstacle to overcome in her quest to develop into a competent doctor. With the passing of that second and most critical year of medical school she is forced to push against, and then finally through, a medical education model that is designed to crush empathy and hope even as it demands ample returns on both accounts.
