Herschel's story is a reminder of a world that once was, and a history that still lingers in the dark shadows of humanity-a boy's struggle for freedom and identity against an evil regime. From an early age, he was aware of the slow trickle of anti-Semitic laws being passed by the Nazis. He was kicked and spat on, cast aside at the back of the classroom because of who-and what-he was. He developed a burning desire to bring this to the world's attention.
Herschel's story does not end there... A greater challenge awaited him, one that would prove his true heroism.
