Outside of Denver, Colorado, in a charming and peaceful small town...Villa Zoo rises to meet the protective Aspen Trees. Villa Zoo is home to five adventurous, daring cats known as the MYSTC Lions and one spoiled white Spanish speaking chihuahua. Their human family is away for the day and the adorable scoundrels find themselves entangled in another Curious Mysterious Happening. This story is a mystery that takes the Lion cats up to the cold peak of the Rocky Mountains. They make new friends and new enemies. They struggle with an old enemy. They fight danger and survive danger.
Children will meet an unfamiliar animal known as the pika. He's lost his way and has stumbled upon the cats. He pleads with them to help him save someone near death...someone very important to him. By smell of animal flesh and driven by a desire to feed on the unsuspecting innocence of the Rocky Mountain foothills, large coyotes bring fear and danger into the lives of our cat clan.
With uncertainty lurking, the cats need to take an oath of unity before they can transform into the heroic MYSTC Lions. However, one important ingredient is missing to complete the TRANSMYSTC Mutation. With no time to find the missing piece, they are forced to fend off the coyotes by uniting as a team...by finding strength through sheer will and trust that each cat will do it's part to survive the coyote attacks.
