This book is coming of age story about three sisters who go through a lot of big life changes. They learn, through conflict and forgiveness, how to depend on one another. The story leans heavily into the cyclical pattern of nature they observe on their little farm, and how the seasons can mirror our healing process.
The overarching story, as well as the many little farm-life adventures they encounter throughout are based on real-life experiences from my childhood.
Growing up in the country on a farm taught me so much about resilience and how impactful it can be to observe and interact with animals and nature as a child. I tried to weave this in and throughout the story as the girls encounter challenges in their journeys.
