A fictional novel based on real characters. This story is about the life and death of the Chief Engineer aboard the Great Lakes Steamship, William B. Davock. John T. Burns perished with the rest of his crew-mates during the violent Armistice Day Storm of 1940. Born and raised in Marine City Michigan, the story revolves around his early life in early 20th century rural Michigan, up to his untimely death during this tragic storm. John is extremely close to his older brother Stanley, and follows him out onto the Great Lakes shipping industry to pursue a sailing career. Stanley finds himself out on Lake Michigan during this devastating storm as well, and through a supernatural twist of fate, survives the historical storm. This is their amazing story.
