The Hardy Review is a twice-yearly publication of The Thomas Hardy Association and the premier journal devoted to the scholarly study of Thomas Hardy. Past and current issues include important unpublished items not yet listed (not even by Purdy), none of them recorded until now. These feature in the Review's "Uncollected Items" series. There is also a "Hardy Abroad" feature which publishes research essays by native scholars -- to date, Hardy in China, Hardy in Latvia, Hardy in India and Hardy in Israel. Other recent articles have included Hardy and film, dance, music, relationships (see, for example, the controversial articles by Michael Rabiger, "Hardy and Moule" (vol XIII-ii), and Richard Sylvia's "Henniker/Dillon affair" (Vol XIII-ii), and Rosemarie Morgan's "Thomas Hardy Buys a Wife" (vol VIII)), and of course literary cricism. All essays are peer-reviewed by TTHA's editorial board of worldclass scholars. Many have drawn great interest and ongoing attention, notably, Herbert Tucker's "At the Bottom Line: How Hardy Tries Conclusions" (Vol XIV-ii), and Keith Clavin's "History of Negation: Liberty and Coercion in Jude (Vol XIV-ii).The Hardy Review also publishes book reviews, selections from TTHA's Poem-of-the-Month seminar and work by acclaimed Living Poets.
