Love dies when someone we love is cold hearted. Broken hearted we try to carry on but the pain remains. Although we pick up the pieces in a bid to move on we are left heavy hearted. The more we distrust others we are left hard hearted. The more we try to keep people out the more we place our hearts in chains. Only by loving others can our hearts be mended again. I am by no means a poet but this is the most succinct way I can explain why I wrote this story. I never know what to say, I never have the right words and when I do, I never have the nerve to say them. I wrote this story in a bid to explain how I feel. I can’t always say “I love you”, and believe me I try, but sometimes it’s just too hard. Despite my silence I care and it hurts that I can’t let those I love know how much. All I want to do is let those people who never know what to say, never have the right words and never find the nerve to say them, know that they are not alone.
