This is Volume II in the trilogy of The Life and Times of Blackjack Malone. This volume begins November 8, 1861 barely six months into the War Between the States. Jack Malone had received a telegram from Captain Richard Garrett, Captain of Company D of the Texas Rangers on November 6, 1861. The telegram read as follows: "Ranger Jack Malone. Stop.
