Ashley has earned the tough-girl reputation when she became the first woman to own and operate her own lobster boat on Rocky Isle. She may be just 5' tall, but she does a man's job and does it well. While her friends get a glimpse of the real and feminine side of Ashley, she isn't one to show this side to just anyone else. When Bart Delaney comes to the island for his cousin's wedding, he instantly falls for Ashley. She immediately thinks he's a dork when she sees him in his khakis, blazer, white shirt, and bow tie. Bart isn't one to give up so easily, though, and decides to stick around on Rocky Isle to see if he can win Ashley over. Ashley claims she is just not ready for love. Or is she just scared to be out of control and to reveal her secrets?
